When the students of 7b Wahlpflichtfach English made presentations about countries such as Kiribati or Tansania, food was somehow of major concern. Everybody was interested in local dishes and typical cuisine and some students even brought some specialties to school for the others to try.
For that reason we decided to plan a cooking session in our school kitchen. 6 teams of students contributed one recipe each, either from one of the countries mentioned in the presentations or from their country of birth.
Finally we ended up with Arabic and Mexican starters, Pirogi (Poland), Dim Sum (Korea), Cevapcici (Croatia), spinach pie (Greece) and Tahjine (Bolivia) as main course(-s) and Korean baked bananas and Kaiserschmarrn as dessert.
The students worked very concentrated and seemed to know what they were doing. Everything tasted delicious and preparing these dishes was a lot of fun, which can be seen on the pictures.
